About
Katie Upton-Roddy
Shropshire, UK
I am a Designer and Maker motivated by sustainability within design and new materials. I think it is critical as a Maker to consider the impact your work will have on the environment. Now more than ever, we need to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and contribute to a circular economy.
Inspired by experiences and research throughout my study, I became motivated to become part of the movement as a Maker to create new, alternative materials.
I work from my studio in Shropshire, developing and improving my practice to become as sustainable as possible.
I am inspired by my surroundings, looking for new materials and processes to incorporate within my designs, continuously searching for new solutions to eliminate the need for existing unsustainable products.
